Community Involvement projects
Eckstine Electric Company takes pride in our local communities. We have assisted in updating local parks with new features making our neighborhood safe and more enjoyable. Aven’s Village is just one community project we were fortunate to be a part of making possible.
In 2013, the Chambers family along with various organizations, businesses and residents partnered with the City of Greeley to support, develop, and finance a universally accessible playground. Shane’s Inspiration, a non-profit company that supports projects for children with disabilities, helped conceptualize the playground. Aven Mondy, a local youth who uses a wheelchair, was chosen as the playground’s namesake.
Opened in October 2016, Aven’s Village is an all-inclusive playground geared towards all ages and abilities. This all-inclusive concept takes play one step further than an accessible playground by incorporating many types of play such as physical, sensory and social activities that appeal to a broad range of users.
